Neeraj Ji’s words will always live with us through music: Ravi Shankar Prasad

New Delhi : Shri Ravi Shankar Prasad, Union Cabinet Minister of Law & Justice and Electronics & Information Technology launched a musical album ‘Neeraj ke Geet’ by IPS Alok Raj, ADG Law and Order, and ADGC (Special Branch), Bihar on Saturday in New Delhi. The musical album is a tribute to Lt Shri Gopaldas Neeraj based on his soulful poems that have enthralled generations and attracted followers from around the world.

In an effort to keep veteran Shri Gopaldas Neeraj’s poetry alive, IPS Alok Raj turned the last piece of his poetry into a musical composition which will echo through the hall of classical music.  While his country, his pride and his nation are his priorities, music stands to be the passion of IPS Alok Raj. He pays tribute to his Guru and the National Poet through ‘Neeraj ke Geet’, an innovation and an effort to bring the powerful verses of the poet to life.

It takes a lot of courage to even recite the verses written by a poet of his stature and talent. He is gone, but he will always be remembered for his fervent compositions and poetry” said IPS Alok Raj in rememberance of Lt Shri Gopaldas Neeraj at the launch of his music album. “I’m extremely humbled by the response and love I have received from everyone. Music is my passion and I spend my all of my free time indulging my soul in it.” he added.  Hon’ble Union Cabinet Minister, Shri Ravi Shankar applauded the respect paid by ADGC Alok Raj to one of India’s finest poets, Shri Gopaldas Neeraj.

This event paid tribute to the last piece of poetry of Shri Gopaldas Neeraj who has contributed to the Hindi literature and industry for 33 years.
